Okay... The title was a bit dramatic but that sort of gives you a hint as to what I wanna blog about...which is rippers~

I really find it incredibly frustrating when people rip my skins... and surprisingly especially when they are nice to me about it

I'm not saying that I take credit for all of my skins. Naturally, I'm not talented enough nor do I have enough free time to come up with an entire code myself. So I use basecodes, but I use those which have been uploaded to blogskins.com, and so were intended for public distribution.

This means I have the right to use it. I was given permission by the creator, who actually wants me to use it and credit them. Otherwise why would they upload it right~

I learn how to edit my codes by studying others. NOT by blatantly ripping them. Indeed it is extremely time consuming and takes a lot of practice... but its not impossible If I can do it anybody can~ (literally )

My biggest problem is when I put so much time and effort into creating a skin that is for me and me only... people go and rip it~

I really don't mind that much if you take inspiration from me. In fact, I find it quite flattering that someone wants their blog to look like mine, and makes me feel I have done a good job. Sure it speaks volumes about their lack of individuality... but there's no crime in that.

I admit that I take inspiration from other peoples blogs too. Most of the time I am a lazy and go with the simple ideas. Most "cute" blogs these days have similar layouts anyway...

But that DOES NOT mean that I go ripping other peoples skins. I understand that I have NO RIGHT to do so, and if I did then it is considered stealing. Online or offline, stealing is what it is. And if you do it, then you are what you are... a stealer.

And the reason I say I hate when people rip my skins and/or images and are nice to me about it, is because they make me feel guilty for claiming back what belongs to me.

Thats like feeling sorry for a mugger because he stole your stuff, but then was really nice to you about it. Does that justify the act that just took place? Because they were nice about it?

I don't like being rude to other people... I really don't. But that is why sometimes I almost wish that when people rip from me they could be rude, and so I could get really angry and threaten them and claim back my shit.

But when they are nice to me, I have to be nice about it too... as I see no reason to be rude if they haven't been.... seriously screw my manners~

I also think its entirely pointless to ask me if you can use my images/skin... but then don't bother to wait for my reply (while I blogged that I was on hiatus for a while due to exams) and go ahead and rip it anyway. Sure you can put the credits... but did I even give permission for you to use it in the first place~

Have you not noticed the little sign on my blog that clearly says:
"My free copyright, registered & protected"

Note the two words copyright and protected.... it means that my site is copyrighted and protected~

Now what does that mean you ask....well it means that my site is copyrighted and protected~

And also, whats even worse is not only do you rip the basecode (which is not even mine but belongs to someone else) but you copy all of my hard work. All of those hours spent editing and refining and adding navigations, colour scheme blah blah blah. All of those hours so what... so you can just steal it? Just like that?

Or even if you rip that...EVEN if you do that.... most people don't even bother to change how I laid out my entire site~!!

Right down to the photo location in the profile, and all of the text is the same~ Just change the info but keep all of the questions and layout exactly the same...
